JAMES JOHN RISEBOROUGH (spelled RISEBROUGH in 1881 census) b. 05/08/1855 @ Hempstead. His parents were JOHN RISEBOROUGH & PHOEBE (Laxton) Ref to Hempstead page. JAMES died 15/10/1917 & buried @ Banningham (or Barningham). Agricultural labourer but later on a farm owner @ Overstrand. Mar' MARY ANN BIRD 1876, MARY b. abt 1852 @ West Beckham. JAMES had moved to Overstrand by 1891.   NB: Not all issue at N.Repps.   Issue:
ANNA ELIZABETH RISEBOROUGH b. abt 1873 @ West Beckham, note the birth date & her mother's mar' date. Was Anna illegitimate or mother a widow?
PHOEBE JANE RISEBOROUGH bap' 08/11/1874 @ Hempstead, d. 06/11/1959. Mar' GEORGE DAVEY MOORE abt 1905 in London, GEORGE d. 11/03/1955. This family migrated to Australia.

NB: Living with this family was ALFRED RICHARD RISEBOROUGH b. abt 1895 @ Overstrand. His mother, PHOEBE JANE (above) left ALFRED behind when she migrated to Australia. A correspondant said that another son, CHARLES, was adopted by the CORNFORD family.

THOMAS's 2nd. mar' to MARY ANN (Mindham) b. 1844. According to the 1881 census MARY was housekeeper & had her son with her, HERBERT J. aged 4. The family were living @ Northrepps by 1881 but back in Hempstead by 1901, where THOMAS was a shepherd.   THOAMS & ELIZABETH'S    issue
